Someday in America?
via Rising Hegemon:
Yesterday, Spain, following on the heels of Canada, approved Gay Marriage.
This was despite the strong opposition of the Catholic Church.
Telling are the polls which show that 7 out of 10 spaniards supported legalizing Gay Marriage.
This movement cannot be stopped, the right-wing surge is going to recede and this, and other progressive steps will come.
Let's hope it starts in 2006, I think it will.
It just saddens me that America can't be at the head of this movement rather than trailing along sullenly behind.

Can't you let me have just this one little dream? Not that the fundies haven't already tromped all over it with their big dirty boots, of course.

That's when it will START.
Of course, with this moron in charge of the United States and one of his stooges in charge of Florida and another in charge of California... it may be a while.

Ahh but California may be ditching ours sooner rather than later. Many folks are beginning to show some serious buyer's remorse out here.

They also removed a corrupt government that had lied to the people regarding a terrorist attack...hmm...

the rightwing extremists, religious conservativesus are dragging their heels and grabbing at Bu$hes to impede our progress.Still, the way I see it is that the scales need balancing. They swung WAY to the right and kind of stuck. Just one little thing will start the swing back down.
