Forgot to mention that earlier this week I got asked by Alyne to head one of the dance performances we're doing on December 4th. I was really quite stunned when she put me in charge, and flattered, and a bit overwhelmed. Yeah I know ultimately it's not that big a deal or that much of a responsibility, but still. Had me beaming all day long :)
I think the flowers I received for Halloween have just about had it, it's too bad, I've loved the bright colors to look at every day while I sit at my desk.
Seems like there's a nice quiet weekend ahead, which will not come amiss. Hopefully I'll get some other projects out of the way and then I can just sit and read. I got "Runes of the Earth", the new Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever book and damn is it amazing. Reading this is like a religious experience to me, I mean I love a lot of fantasy series, but this one I happily kneel before and worship as the divine gift to literature that it is. I both want to devour it whole and take my time as it'll be years before the next one is released. I will have all of them in hardcover and paperback because I am that obsessed. So far Mr. Donaldson hasn't let me down and when it comes to the Land I don't think he ever could.
It took all my willpower to leave the book in the car last night so that I wouldn't be up until the wee hours of the morning reading it. I do not expect to be able to do the same this weekend. But I must get some errands and a drawing done first, then I can relax and curl up with some tea and my novel.
Had a bit of a bread-related fiasco last night so I need to stop at Whole Foods tonight before I drop by a friend's place for some post-election mourning and feasting. I discovered that they have the most delicious cranberry scones on the planet there and I need to get some for tonight. Oh my god do I need to get some. But I may only have one. Just one. I can well imagine just how horribly high in fat and calories those suckers are. But damn are they ever tasty.

New Thomas Covenant series, but book one is out now, yeah. You want to borrow it after I'm done , it's all yours.
And shouldn't it be "hellfire and damnation"? :)
