Mercy, mercy me

So I woke up just enough this morning to catch the final act in this elaborate musical my mind came up with about this amazing gay couple's trials and tribulations. Where does my brain get this stuff?

Anyway, Chez Femme II should once again contain an Aelf-like creature by sometime tomorrow. Hopefully I can spend a little time tonight making the house look a bit more presentable. I get hideously lazy when left on my own for too long.

Saw two cockroaches in the recycle bin yesterday morning. This is one of the little things I don't think I'm going to miss when we move.

Also managed to get a handful of the sweetest, tastiest raspberries off my little bush. Mmm! Now I'm looking forward to having some blackberries to go with them. May even get another strawberry or two, that is if the slugs don't get them first.

Didn't make it to class last night but I did get to the grocery store to pick up some odds and ends. Then put in some dance time and was delighted to note that I wasn't quite as tired at the end of it as I usually am. Perhaps my endurance is starting to improve? *fingers crossed*

Got on the scale yesterday and gloated that I was down two pounds. Got on the scale this morning and nearly cried, right back up again. I really hate my body sometimes.

I've also discovered the best extremely low fat/low cal meal. One serving of Quorn on a bed of spinach with a little whole berry cranberry sauce on the side. But the cranberries can be replaced by pineapple chunks for a little variety. Dinner of champions!

Galley Slave Rating: Pathetic but definitely improving.

You go on about your weight, but I have to wonder if you're actually eating _enough_. If not, you're never going to lose any weight 'cause your body's in starvation mode. You need at least 1200 calories a day for sustenance (possibly as low as 1000, but given your build, I suspect your metabolism is normal or high). Weighing yourself every day is just asking for disappointment - try once a week.

I shoot for 1500 a day, but have been known to go as high as 1700 when I'm not being careful. I know that a lot of the fluctuation is water weight related, but I actually do find it kind of interesting that I can look in the mirror, note the change and then confirm it on my scale (which is why I climbed on again this morning). I just wish I could reach a sort of stable weight for more than 24 hours. *sigh*

I have to agree that you shouldn't weigh yourself every day. Not even every other. My advice is to weigh yourself once a week, preferably around the same time of day. That way you are less prone to the disappointments of the daily fluctuations and are less likely to get discouraged.
