It feels like somebody with a fever is yelling at my pants! This rules!

You know I don't think I can pick just one quote that I loved from this week's VB ep, so I've thrown down a few of my faves. Of course the Monarch doing a shoutout to LiveJournal was the best moment of the season so far. Lucky, lucky JollyRancher_42, she was right, the Monarch is TEH SEX.

Phantom Limb: Brock Samson. The Venture mule. Do you always hang out naked in the men’s bathroom?

Guild Soldier: (coughing) I think you may have got the kidney. I don't wanna die alone! (cough) Don't...don't go!
Brock: I don't think I hit your kidney.
Guild Soldier: No, no...you totally did! (cough) Please...please! Hold me!
Brock: Look, I'm pretty sure I missed the kidney. I mean, you could bleed to death in like...four hours, but ah..
Guild Soldier: I..I see a tunnel...I'm scared...could you...could you stroke my hair?
Brock: Alright, look...you are not gonna...
Guild Soldier: Well can you sing to me? Could you sing a Technotronic song? Maybe (cough) Pump Up The Jam?
Brock: I dunno..I..
Guild Soldier: What about Move This? Do you know that one?
Brock: (long sigh) ...Baby let me..

Dr. Venture: Why are you naked?
Brock: (panting, covered in blood) To prey on their fear. Move like an animal, to feel the kill.
Dr. Venture: Alright, now you're scaring me. What's going on?
Brock: I dunno. (holds up severed head) But judging from these goggles, it's The Guild. Seems like you made it to the big league, what'd you do?
Dr. Venture: Nothing! I was just sitting here, watching the worst porno ever. Is that a head?

The Monarch: Nice ass.

Ballroom blitz

I suspect that if I were in high school right now I'd currently be obsessed with the Raconteurs, who are as adorable as they are talented. Their Speed Racer-esque video for "Steady as She Goes" just sealed the deal. As I'm almost 20 years out of high school I'll just say, cool band, you should listen to them.

Speaking of cool music, BBC America has a link up for the Life on Mars soundtrack, lots of good music on there. I love the idea of shows putting together iMixes rather than releasing soundtracks, I can grab just what I want and leave the rest.
