This for all the dancers

I just saw this place for the first time the other night and was very impressed by the sign with a bellydancer on it. A new venue is a very cool thing, here's hoping it's also less expensive than Menara. Anybody interested in going?

Hello Bellydancers,

Hozkhouneh Restaurant in Los Altos is under new management and is now called Mirage Belly Dance Club. They are dedicated to becoming the Bay Area’s premier venue for belly dancers and would like to formally invite you to:

Open Stage Night!! On Sunday October 5

It will be a great opportunity to meet other dancers from all over the Bay Area and to increase your profile in the dance community. Students and professionals are all welcome to perform.

This event is also an unofficial audition night for dancers who may be interested in a regular night at the club.

Mirage is located at 4926 El Camino Real, Los Altos. Dancing will begin at 6:30. Individual dancers are allotted up to 8 minutes and troupes are allotted up to 12 minutes. Please call me at 510-384-2773 or email me to book a spot at this event.

It sounds like fun, but that's the start of Yom Kippur, and I'm actually going to try to make it to services this year.

I would like to check it out some other time, though.

Apparently Alyne is very much in favor of her students dancing that night and is going to mention it in class.

I may not make it to class tonight. I left my bag at home and with the small amount of sleeping I've been doing the last few nights I am not sure my energy levels are up to rushing home and rushing to class, but we'll see.
