Tell you what, if you can stomach it and come back and tell me that you honestly think it has some value I may just give it a try myself. I don't generally dismiss things out of hand, but as I recall when I mentioned reading through O'Reilly's books a while back you told me they were a waste of time without having read them yourself ;)
